Entryways and entrances
The entryways and entrances to the LANXESS arena are completely barrier free, as the arena itself. From Deutz Station: along the “Opladener Straße“ and later between the parking garage and the city house, a pedestrian bridge leads directly to the northern entrance of the LANXESS arena. The climb of the bridge is less than 4%.
From “Justinianstraße“: over a ramp from the southern direction of the western surroundings you reach the southwestern entrance of LANXESS arena. The climb of this ramp is also under 4%. In front of the stores, that are situated there, the ramp flattens and creates resting positions along the way. Furthermore the northern entrance is easy to reach from here, too.
From “Gummersbacher Straße“ resp. “Deutz-Kalker-Straße“ east of the arena: through a pedestrian tunnel, especially built for impaired persons, that leads directly to the southeastern part of the LANXESS arena with a lift and to the arena foyer.
In addition to that the southern surrounding of the LANXESS arena provides a serpentine walkway with slow climb which leads to the southeastern and southwestern entrances.
Parking facilities
Parking facilities for disabled persons are locted at parking block P1 (entries via the tunnel at Opladener Straße). P1 provides marked spots for impaired people on every floor. A lift will get you barrier-free to the main level, leading outside to the wristband stations and the main festival entrance. Maximum headroom for cars at P1 is 1,90 m. If your car exceeds that limit, please use parking lot P11 at Gummersbacher Straße.Please take note: P1 and P11 can be used for free from Saturday morning till Sunday night. For short parking periods on Friday (like for getting your wristband) you need to draw a ticket. The three additional parking blocks P2/P3/P4 will remain for public traffic and arena staff. Do not drive in - you will be charged! If you park your car there by mistake, there would be no refunding of the parking fee!
